Name: Echokit Echopaw Echostream

Reason behind name: Right before Echostream's mother gave birth, her old friend was hit by a monster. In her grief, the she-cat named her firstborn female kit after her friend, thus the Echo-- part. Stream-- comes from the little trickle of water that she is often found by, though she sits far out of reach of the water and mud.

Age: 26 moons

Position: ShadowClan

Appearance: Echostream is a fairly small feline, with delicate looking legs. The short furred she-cat holds her head high when she walks and is slender and lean. Her angluar head makes her ears appear large and slightly out of proportion. Her long tail has black stripes, a stark contrast to fur dominated with an almost pure white color. Gray stripes encicle her legs, ending in light gray paws. The she-cat has pale green eyes. Her fur is always pristine and perfectly groomed and she walks with a natural grace.

--PERSONALITY--

Personality: A cat of low self esteem, Echostream, finds it very important to remain clean and good looking at all times. She will stress if her fur is not perfectly groomed, and freak if anything like mud gets on it; keeping herself clean is the she-cat's main priority. She dislikes anything that will ruin or dirty her pristine fur. Though she is not the sharpest tool in the shed, the shallow she-cat does not realize this and often ends up giving tips that do not help; she has no wit and no appreciation for it either. She takes everything said to her literally and to heart. Often she does not fully apply herself either, therefore appearing lazy as she prefers to socialize rather than work. She has no tact. The self-centered warrior complains if something does not go exactly the way she wants it, and though the complaining used to be loud, she had managed to quiet down over the years, proving that while she is very picky and impatient, some sense is still in her head.

Despite her flaws and ability to get on almost any sensible warrior's nerves, Echostream never tries to hurt anyone. She dislikes violence and loves nothing better than kits and watching them grow into warriors ShadowClan can be proud of. While the she-cat dislikes anything that will get her fur dirty or force her to work, the warrior loves to play and entertain the kits, sometimes even to the extent where she will dirty her fur. Though she has been exposed to a few social hardships, Echostream is naive and trusting, living in a simple world where every cat is good and no one meant to do anything bad. She also has an irrational fear of birds and all things flying, and no one quite knows the reason why as no bird has ever attempted to hunt her.


Ambition: She wants a family, friends and peace for the entire forest. While she may be likely to get friends, even a family, she does not realize how unrealistic it would be to have infinite peace rule the forest.

Secrets: Since Echostream is a very straightforward, honest cat who cannot hold her tongue anyway, she has no major secrets as she usually, unintentionally gives them away.
- sometimes she goes and sits by the border, hoping against hope that her father will return

Family: They are on speaking terms and she will gladly talk to them if they would be able to tolerate her less than endearing personality.

History:
Echokit
Born an only kit to a happy couple, her mother was just as shallow as she. Her father, however, had slightly more sense, but his sense of family was weaker. Echokit never knew what made him leave when she was 5 moons, though she believed that perhaps he thought that she was hopeless. This lead to her self-esteem problems later in life. But when Echokit was 5 moons, her father left them, though he stayed in the clan. He stopped talking to both her and her mother, effectively cutting all bonds with them except for the clan. So she became an apprentice with only other mother by her side.

Echopaw
A few moons after her ceremony, Echopaw's father left the clan for good. The she-cat had tried as hard as she could to gain his approval, training long and hard. Regardless of his daughter's efforts, the tom left and never looked back. This major blow altered her personality forever. Though every apprentice is self-conscious and occasionally worries about their appearance, Echopaw took this to the extreme. Subconsciously, perhaps she hoped that if her father saw how pretty she may look, that he would return. As she never showed any natural talent in hunting, stealth or fighting, she decided that this would probably be the best choice to make. But with all her efforts on her image, her work ethic dwindled, until her appearance and cleanliness took over her life.

Echostream
Named after the small stream that she enjoys listening to, Echostream's obsession with her cleanliness continued getting in the way of her warrior duties. Eventually, someone pointed it out to her, and she calmed down. Slightly. Though she still fixates on her appearance, she will do her duties if told to multiple times.
