I think Hailstorm and Spottedpaw could have an interesting relationship. Spottedpaw is extremely naive, and would have trouble understanding why any cat would have such a negative view of the world. She can't stand to see any cat unhappy, so she could become something of a nuisance to Hailstorm, following her around and trying to get the older she-cat to see the world in a more positive light, totally oblivious to the fact that she is being extremely irritating. However, although she is very annoying and often seems to know nothing about how harsh the world can be, it's clear that she only does it because she is concerned for her Clanmate. So basically, one of those friends that hangs around you even though you'd really rather they didn't, but you'd feel sort of bad telling them to go away because they clearly care about you so much.

Kind of random, but have you guys seen Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants? Because that Spottedpaw/Hailstorm dynamic makes me think of that little girl with cancer who follows the weird teenage girl around all the time and demands to help her with her video making and then ends up totally changing her life forever....
Yup totally random, but if you've seen the movie or I guess read the book (I haven't) you'll know what I mean!!
