I will not fall I will not fade I will take your breath away
--BASICS-- good men must die, but death cannot kill their names. -proverb
Name: Rainfrost
Reason behind name: She basically gave herself the first part of her name, for as a loner, she'd been named Blue. However, the name came with her traumatic past and she changed it to something that was blue: rain. -frost comes from her pure white fur.
Gender: she-cat
Age: 34 moons
Position: warrior/deputy
Appearance: A fairly small cat, Rainfrost has pure white fur and a lean build. Her short fur is usually kept clean and she has no major scars. Two different colored eyes often watch others, sizing them up. The right one is an amber-brown color, while her left eye is a deep blue. She has a pink nose and decent sized ears, and big paws carry her around while a long tail keeps her balanced when she pounces. Rainfrost is deaf in her left ear, though one could not tell that just by her looks. Sharp claws and teeth make her a formidable opponent, and her lithe form allows her to duck and dodge with hardly any trouble.
Short Description: Pure white she-cat with one blue and one brownish eye, deaf in one ear
--PERSONALITY-- we continue to shape our personality all our life. If we knew ourselves perfectly, we should die. -albert campus
Personality: Quiet but firm in her decisions, Rainfrost has a thick skin that she has worn since she was a kit, new to WindClan. She ignores useless taunts, but notes worthy ideas or any constructive criticism she receives, always willing to improve herself and her technique. Though she may seem cold at first, if one gets to know her, the warrior will let them see a different side of her that she has hidden behind strong walls. The lucky cat will discover a modest she-cat who has a good sense of humor and always enjoys laughing, trying to stay light-hearted and optimistic. However, very few cats see that side of her, as she does not let any get close to her for fear of their death and being left alone again. She has adapted to life deaf in one ear. Rainfrost will stand up for herself and has a decent amount of patience, never rising to a comment. The she-cat understands that cats are different and will never judge one purely on history like she was as a kit. She usually has good ideas and Rainfrost is not power-hungry, never expecting to be picked for something special. When in charge, she was surprised to find that she was not that bad of a leader. She becomes friendlier when interacting with kits, enjoying their company, but unsure as to whether she would want some of her own. Even though she may feel like she does not always belong, Rainfrost is loyal to her clan. Like any cat who gains her trust and confidence, WindClan will always have her loyalty and she will do almost anything to benefit it. She has a high pain tolerance and is extremely stubborn at times, refusing to give in. Rainfrost will fight fiercely for what she wants, but has learned when to flee and save what she can.
Ambition: Rainfrost still feels like sometimes she does not belong and that she is judged for her past and heritage. The warrior wants to prove to herself and to others that she belongs in WindClan.

--HISTORY-- experience is simply the name we give our mistakes. -oscar wilde
Secrets:
- she sometimes doubts herself and wonders if she belongs in WindClan
- she has a fond and strong dislike for her surrogate family, though she is only distant and courteous to them when they have to speak
- her past: the clan knows that she is of loner blood, but she has told next to no one about the badger
Family: She does not know any family by blood, but Rainfrost is coldly polite to her surrogate family. She does not talk to the three kits, now grown, with whom she shared a nest, for they were some of the cats who teased her about her loner blood, deafness and pure white coat. Her surrogate mother only half-heartedly tried to stop them, eventually giving up after realizing they would keep taunting her, something Rainfrost has never forgotten.
History: Blue Blue had known that her name was Blue when she was found by the WindClan patrol on the clan's border. She and her mother, probably a loner, she realized now, had stumbled across a badger and its family, not far from the WindClan border. Of course, the badger had attacked Blue and her mother, whose name she cannot remember, and the young cat's mother had retaliated in turn. Blue had hidden in the nearby undergrowth, watching the fight, until her mother had told her to run. Obediant, the she-cat had fled, hearing the sounds of the fight behind her. She had been three moons old, and this was her only vivid memory of her life as a loner.
Rainkit Blue had wandered, only by luck, onto WindClan territory. Tired and hungry, the loner kit had settled down by a rock and almost drifted off to sleep when the sound of voices disturbed her. And so, she was found by a surprised WindClan patrol and brought back to camp. The cats gave Blue some prey, which she wolfed down, and settled her in what she now knows as the Medicine Cat Den. She stayed there a little while, recovering, before being moved to a nursery and a surrogate family, though Blue could not understand why she would need one as she had survived on her own for a couple of days, eating what crickets she could catch. However, the she-cat was willing to make friends, and when asked what her name was, she hesitated, almost saying "Blue". But that name came with the memories of the fight and her fear, so instead she said "Rain". So Blue became Rainkit, a quiet cat teased for her heritage. Rainkit learned to ignore the taunts and the teasing, but she stayed shy and timid, not wanting to retaliate and cause a fight.
Rainpaw Moons passed and Rainkit soon became Rainpaw, finding a kind mentor in Shiningheart. The two grew closer, with Shiningheart teaching Rainpaw to stand up for herself and discovering that the apprentice had an intelligent mind and interesting things to say when given the chance. Having grown a backbone, the apprentice found a thirst to prove herself, to become the best warrior WindClan had seen. Throwing herself into her training, the she-cat learned as much as she could, trying to perfect her techniques as well as her sharp tongue. Late in Rainpaw's apprentice-ship, however, an old injury prevented Shiningheart from mentoring her anymore, forcing the warrior into the elder's den. The she-cats were understandably sad, and Rainpaw finished her last moon with a different mentor, whom she never grew close to. She often visited Shiningheart in the elder's den, and viewed her mentor as more of a parental figure than her surrogate mother, from whom she never learned anything.
Rainfrost Shiningheart caught an illness that eventually killed her. Rainfrost, newly made a warrior, was devastated at losing another parental figure in her life. However, this also hardened her and reinforced a lesson she had learned as a kit. No one was invincible and no one could conquer death. Rainfrost once more threw herself into her work, this time her warrior duties, and gained experience hunting and patrolling. Though she prided herself on her ability to do this, all the work tired Rainfrost out, making her realize that this was no way to live and putting all her energy into helping her clan was hurting her more than it was benefitting WindClan. So the she-cat relaxed more, though she still did her duties. The time she had spent as apprentice, perfecting what she could and practicing what she could not, paid off as her talents gained the quiet cat a reputation. Occasionally, an immature cat still threw a taunt at her for her history, but she always let it roll off of her, carrying herself with confidence.
Other: Obviously, she does not have to be a deputy, but since the space is open, I decided that I might as well try out for it. Do you need a roleplay, even though she’s not my first character?
