[blockquote Whitewind woke up alarmed at the moistness in her den, pouncing out of her den that was slowly filling with water, "Wake up Riverclan! The medicine cat apprentice had been sleeping soundly, tail twitching serenely as she huddled in her warm nest; her leader's alarm call roused her, and it took her a few moments to take in the gravity of the situation. After the last bits of confusion cleared away, she sat straight up and looked around with alarm. The camp was flooding! The river that gave them life was rising up against them; could this be a sign? She shook her head. There was time to think about that later. She looked over her shoulder at the shelves of neatly arranged herbs. "Smokecloud, the herbs!" she exclaimed. She unrolled a large leaf from one of the shelves and started laying the precious plants down on it, hastily preparing a messy bundle. It was functional enough; she picked out the rarest and most valuable herbs to include- cobwebs and mosses could be replaced easily, but things like catmint were harder to find. At least it wasn't leaf-bare. She sent silent prayers to StarClan as she wrapped up the herbs that no cats would fall ill in the next couple moons. They would need to restock; there was no way to include the entire store. Water was beginning to lap at the apprentice's paws. She lifted her bundle; it was almost too large to carry, and she struggled awkwardly out of the den with everything she could carry. Cats were racing towards WindClan; she joined them. She wanted to help other escape, but there was nothing she could do with a mouth jammed full of herbs, and it would all be washed away if she put it down.

Bramblepelt and Tawnypelt were sleeping together as usual, when they both awoke, the bedding unusually moist, and the sound of trickling, rushing water all around. They heard Whitestar's urgent call to wake the camp up. "The camp is flooding!" Bramblepelt yowled with the other cats that had woken up, helping in rousing up the clan. "Riverclan! Wake up!" Tawnypelt yowled. Although the two brothers hated to be separated, they knew that there were very important matters to be done. Bramblepelt nodded and took off for the nursury to help carry Whitestar's kits, and Tawnypelt ran over to the medicine cat's den, and found the medicine cat's apprentice, Spottedpaw, carrying a heavy load of herbs. "I'll go get some herbs too." Tawnypelt offered. He didn't know as much as the medicine cat about herbs, but he knew some of the facts, like about how important cat mint was, and so he went into the den to see if Smokecloud would give him a bundle of herbs to carry.

YELLOWEYE & EGGPELT
[/i] Eggpelt yowled and dashed out of the den to see the water level rising. Tawnypelt appeared to be helping the medicine cat apprentice, Spottedpaw, with herbs while Bramblepelt had gone to take care of the nursery. Yelloweye had dashed out past Eggpelt and headed right up to Nightfur who was at the apprentice den. "Nightfur! When did this start happening?" Asked Yelloweye, who then pushed his head into the apprentice den. "EVERYONE OUT! The camp is FLOODING!" The warrior yelled in and then backed away to look at the rising water levels. What in Starclans name had caused the camp to so suddenly flood. Had they done something wrong? His thoughts were jolted from him as Eggpelt bumped into the warrior. "Come ONNN we don't have TIME to daydream, help the others out won't you?" Hissed the creamy furred cat as he dashed away to where Tawnypelt and Spottedpaw were at. "Need help you guys? Where's Smokecloud?" He asked in a panic.[/ul][/blockquote]

Hawkpaw had having a peaceful sleep about climbing trees, when suddenly his dream turned to him swimming in the river. He was having a blast until his fur was suddenly soaked. The tabby tom woke up and jumped to his feet, realizing that the den was practically full of water. Waking up all of the way, the apprentice suddenly realized that it was a bad thing, and hissed in alarm. The odd thing was that some of the others were still sleeping! "Wake up you fur balls!" He screeched, and some of the other apprentices flew out of the den, while others laid there dazed and confused. "The camp is flooding! Follow the others to higher ground!" Hawkpaw yowled, pushing the last of the apprentices out of the den, his eyes like blue flames. He instantly took off towards the elders den, and saw his mentor Tawnypelt helping Spottedpaw. Not watching where he was going, the already-wet tom tripped over a rock, landing face first in the icy water. He let out a screech of alarm as the water soaked into his pelt, and raced towards the elders den as fast as his paws could carry him. Helping the old cats towards where everyone else was going, Hawkpaw waited until they were safely onto higher ground with the others before he darted to Tawnypelt. "Do you need any help here?" The tabby tom meowed to his mentor. Tawnypelt was one of the few warriors that Hawkpaw respected, and he was happy that he had him as a mentor instead of some other mouse-brained warrior.

Spottedpaw paused and looked over her shoulder. Every instinct told her to just keep running, but she forced herself to put down her bundle for a moment to talk to the cats who were risking their lives to help her. "I don't know where Smokecloud is. We can't worry about that right now. All the bundles on the ground are full of important herbs; grab what you can of them and get out. Don't come back to camp once you get to higher ground, the herbs can be restocked. I don't want to lose anyone to save them," she said, her gentle voice oddly commanding. She was fitting well into her role as medicine cat, turning into a formidable and confident cat as well as a kind and compassionate one. She didn't have time to think about that at the moment, though; she lifted her bundle again and set off, looking back to see that the others were following. Nervous thoughts bounced around in her head as she headed for the camp's exit. Where was Smokecloud? Would he be okay? She had to believe that her mentor could take care of himself; she had to focus on saving what medicinal supplies she could- there might be injuries from the flood, or cats could catch colds from the vast tide of muddy water soaking their fur. And then the lack of warm nests to sleep in- there would be aches and pains to care for... She mentally went over what she had packed in the bundles again. It all seemed right, but she couldn't help but second-guess herself. The flood might wipe out some familiar herb clusters; they would have to find them again. She shook her head. It was no good thinking about the long-term when she wasn't even out of camp yet. Other RiverClan cats were streaming out as well; Spottedpaw trusted that someone had helped the kits, and was taking care of the elders. The warriors would never leave them alone. She had her own duties to attend to, as much as she wanted to help do some of everything. The water was lapping at her belly now, and she was half-swimming towards the camp's exit. She raised her head high above the water, trying to keep her herbs dry.

She ran quickly toward the warrior den, "Everyone up, now!" she yelled, before turning back on herself and running to the apprentice den, she passed Tawnypelts apprentice, "Go help the nursery or Spottedpaw, once you leave, don't come back to the camp, go!" she poked her head through the entrance of the den, "Splashpaw! Get up, I'm not leaving you here. The other apprentices seemed to have left already. She grabbed her by the scruff and dragged her out. "Nightfur!" the name was muffled slightly, she passed the apprentice to him and watched him take her out. "And don't come back!" she turned to Eggpelt, "Questions are for when we get on dry land, check the warriors den and then the medicine cat den, and the leave.' she hissed. She ran to the nursery and grabbed Tigerkit, whose fur was drenched. "I shouldn'tve left you kits." she mewed softly.
She ran towards the Medicinecat Apprentice, her small body kept her head only slightly above the water, and she wasn't leaving anyone behind. "Where is Smokecloud?" she mewed urgently looking around, her words were muffled speaking through Tigerkits fluffy pelt.

EGGPELT, YELLOWEYE & TIGERKIT
[/i] Yelloweye called out, raising his head high and voice higher. Eggpelt swung his head in Yelloweye's direction to see the tom as he called out for their medicine cat. The creamy colored warrior looked back at Whitestar, who had the scared mewling kit in her jaws. "We don't know, Whitestar, it seems no one can find Smokecloud! But Smokecloud is well, we really need to get out." Eggpelt said and then splashed over to where Yelloweye was. "Grab what herbs you can we NEED to get out!" Eggpelt yelled and then splashed closer. "But Smokecloud-" Yelloweye protested but was interrupted by Eggpelt. "NO. We need to go, Smokecloud is a strong cat." In all honesty, Eggpelt was panicking. Would Smokecloud really be okay and where was the medicine cat? Eggpelt watched as Yelloweye resisted the urge to argue, nodded and headed for the exit after grabbing what was left of the herbs. Yelloweye didn't like going without knowing every cat was okay, but what options were there? He hissed beneath his breath and helped Spottedpaw exit the camp, the both of the carrying herbs. They had to get to higher ground, so Yelloweye pushed forward with his might. The clan would survive, they had to! Back in camp, Eggpelt dashed to Whitestar. "Whitestar, let me take Tigerkit, I'll get him and myself to higher ground." Pleaded the warrior. [/ul] [ OOC: In case of any confusion -- Yelloweye is trying to help Spottedpaw get to higher ground outside of the camp, he has some herbs with him. Eggpelt went back to Whitestar and offered to carry Tigerkit to higher ground. ][/blockquote]

'The fish is so close.... oh no!' Featherpaw meowed as tried to reach for the small fish when she fell into the river. As she tried to reach the surface, it became very hard. She just keep gown down. 'Oh StarClan This can't be the end....!'
Featherpaw woke with a start. Her pelt was soaking wet which gave her a chill. Outside, the den she heard a lot of screaming and orders being shouted. Her blue eyes scanned the den as she spotted her denmates running out. She quickly jumped her her paws and gave her pelt a shack. Hawkpaw? She though, looking around for her brother but didn't see him anywhere. She ran out of the den, but the water was getting very high. She splashed into it making her way to the Medicine cat's den. She spotted Yelloweye and Tawnypelt trying to help Spottedpaw. "We need to get out of here now! The water is rising really fast." She hissed grabbing a few bundles of herbs before backing out of the den.
The best thing for all of them now is to get to high ground. Featherpaw ran quickly to get her clanmates and the herbs to high ground.

Tawnypelt nodded and grabbed one of the bundles in his mouth and turned to see where the Whitestar was. They needed to get out of the camp at once, but where would they go? His heart felt frozen in horror as a wave of water swept over the ground, rising up past his knees. Seeing his apprentice, Hawkpaw, bravely trying to do his best to help made him proud, and he replied, his voice urgent, yet calm. "Grab one of those bundles, and go where Whitestar takes us to. Quickly!" He pointed with his ear where Spottedpaw had left a few leaf wraps on a spot right above the water's surface.
Bramblepelt went into the nursery after Whitestar, and picked up Skykit, Whitestar's other kit, while Whitestar grabbed Tigerkit. Outside the nursery, he glanced around the camp, feeling his heart racing. The water was flowing in waves, each deeper than the last. He was already standing, the water halfway up his long legs in depth. The clan had to find high ground and a new temporary camp, but where would they go? He gazed after Whitestar who was checking on Spottedpaw. That's right, where's Smokecloud? he wondered, his worries heightening. He ran over to Tawnypelt, who's mouth was full of herbs, and managed to meow through a mouth full of kitten fur. "Tawnypelt! Where is Smokecloud?" Tawnypelt's worried expression showed that he only knew as much as Bramblepelt. "I don't know. But if she's not here, she's probably somewhere safe." He replied, his words accented by the herbs blocking them.

Hawkpaw nodded at his mentor, his eyes glowing with determination. Picking up one of the bundles of herbs, a thought suddenly struck his head. He hadn't seen Featherpaw yet! Panic gripped his body as he scanned the camp for her, and he breathed a heavy sigh of relief as he saw her small, silver-spotted body coming towards them. She practically had to wade through the water, which was rising at a fast rate. Upon her reaching them, Hawkpaw hurried to his sister and touched his nose to her forehead, his blue eyes glowing in relief that she had made it through okay. "Are you alright?" He asked Featherpaw, his voice mumbled from the bundle of herbs in his mouth, but then turned to see that everyone else was quickly leaving the camp. He looked back at the smaller she-cat. "I suppose questions can wait till we get out of here. Lets go!" He meowed urgently, and then began to wade through the water towards where everyone else was heading. Hawkpaw hoped that his sister could keep up with him.

Whitestar turned to Eggpelt, she nodded, handing the kit to him, 'Be careful with the kits, I want all apprentices out of here now! Spottedpaw, lead them to the closest territory from here, if needed cross borders and stay at the line until I get there, preferably Windclan if you could.' she mewed quickly, hoping that after the help Riverclan gave them, Windclan would allow them to stay until the water had gone down. 'Yelloweye, I want you to give your herbs to Nightfur, and have one last look for Smokecloud - ' she stopped as Redblotch wandered out, slowly padding through the water, her head raised slightly. 'There is no point Whitestar, if she is still here, she will get out on her own.' she weezed. 'Shes right Whitestar, you'll only put yourself and Yelloweye in danger going in deeper. The waters rising, fast, all clan members must leave, now.' he mumbled, he was still holding Splashpaw. 'Plus I can't carry anything else!' Whitestar nodded.
'Evacuate. Come on Redblotch.' she said urging the elder to move faster, she then dashed from the conversation leading the way to Windclan territory. Redblotch shook her head and sighed, 'I am not that fast anymore, I'll stay at the rear.' she mewed, Nightfur began to drag the large apprentice, 'Throw her on your back and keep her steady, is she alright? Surely she would've woken up by now.' she mewed watching the apprentice. Nightfur placed her on his back with the help of Redblotch, with the water rising higher and the waves getting slightly bigger. 'I don't know, come on!' he hissed, alarming Redblotch, who then began to run faster. The Windclan highgrounds seemed to have avoided the flooding, flicking her tail, 'Come, we'll ask them for help.' she began toward their camp.

EGGPELT, YELLOWEYE & TIGERKIT
[/i]! But Whitestar's order caught his ear. At least they could always rely on the leader for some organization. He'd moved away from Spottedpaw and passed Eggpelt, who had grabbed Tigerkit swiftly from his leader and was now headed with Spottedpaw toward Windclan territory. Yelloweye was about to hand over the herbs when Redblotch made a good point -- they were already running out of time and Smokecloud was no where to be found. If she was even still in the camp, the Riverclan medicine cat would be capable of getting herself out. So Yelloweye kept the herbs in his mouth turned back around, bounding for the exit and leaving the flooded Riverclan camp with the rest of the clan cats. He caught up to Eggpelt who was still carrying the scared, mewling kit in his jaws. The group made their way with the leader to Windclan's camp. In the back of Eggpelt's mind he prayed to Starclan that Windclan would allow them to stay on their lands until the water washed away. Maybe even stay in their camp. The creamy pelted warrior was no traitor, but staying in the open highlands of Windclan didn't exactly seem safe. Yelloweye, on the other hand, would hate if they actually had to stay in the camp. He was too proud of a Riverclan cat to sit in Windclan's camp like some prisoner. Besides, one camp can't take care of so many cats, could it? And that meant no place to sleep far from others, on his own in solitude. The muscular tom, holding the herbs in his mouth, made his way to Whitestar. "We won't be staying IN their camp, will we, Whitestar?" He asked through a mouth full of herbs, careful not to accidentally swallow any of them. He had no idea what was even there.[/ul] [ OOC: Should we move this to Borders or the Windclan territory? ][/blockquote]
