-Her relationship with her husband is fairly straight forward. Get me what I want and you might be rewarded if I am in the mood.
-She is entitled to everything. She kills but she never gets caught, until Frank and Alice Longbottom.
-Bellatrix doesn't love anybody. She lacks the ability to love. However she is obsessed with many things. The Dark Lord, power, money, sex.
-She does not regret anything. When her husband catches her cursing a house-elf she says "It was in my way" like nothing was wrong.
-EVERYTHING Bellatrix Black does is planned the way she wants in her mind. When she doesn't get what she wants, she throws a tantrum, and she uses the persons worst ideas against them. She will even resort to physical and psychological abuse, and will not regret it, to get what she wants.
[/ul]My Bellatrix takes the stereotypical form of a sociopath on looks, however, you can look at other Sociopaths in history to see that no sociopath looks alike. They are still human beings. They just cannot function in today's society because to them, the society is wrong. They usually are loners.
One must understand about sociopaths. They are never diagnosed until they do extreme harm to society. A sociopath will never be anything but that. It is a last resort for psychologists because they are basically 'giving up' on the person. When somebody is deemed a sociopath they are deemed an extreme danger to society as a whole. They like Bellatrix are deemed Criminally Insane and are often sedated for the safety of themselves or others. This is one of the more violent disorders. We often see movies on sociopaths.
Sociopaths will eventually get caught. They get over confident and feel that the government cannot hurt them and they slip. As what happened to Bellatrix LeStrange when she tortured the Longbottoms. Bellatrix LeSrange is spontaneous like a sociopath often is considered.
Psychopaths: These are almost completely identical disorders. A Psychopath will have all of the symptoms of a sociopath except for the fact that they are extremely organized, and will often have a higher IQ than a sociopath. Psychopaths are able to last in society longer, and many are not even arrested.
One must also understand that like sociopaths Psychopaths is the last resort for psychologists to deem somebody with. This is another disorder that is considered for the criminally insane. Yet because psychopaths are known to last longer in society by putting a faux around them. These are often the ones who pretend to care. Most psychologist majors I have met always claim that a Psychopath is always much more dangerous than a sociopath, because of the sheer intelligence. A psychopath I try and do is Rodolphus LeStrange(Yes I play the couple but not on the same site together)
Rodolphus is a fantastic liar, and is much more educated than my Bellatrix. In my view if Bellatrix hadn't pleaded guilty he would have gotten them off of a life term in Azkaban.
schizophrenia: This is a disease I hardly know about but I see a lot of people play this disorder pretty badly so I did some research. Once I find more on the subject I will put a lot of information, but as of now I will say that it is a very vast disorder, and I do know that it has many different sections to the disorder.
Autism: Ever seen the movie Rainman? Well it is a very touching movie about a man who has to deal with his extremely autistic brother. This is the worst case scenario of autism, of course. For three years I babysat a child with a moderate form of Autism. These characters are extremely withdrawn. It took me 3 months of steady weekly babysitting in order for him to get used to me. Yes some autistic people can be slightly outgoing, but it takes a while for them to get used to you, and people around them.
Autism is simply the inability to deal with change as well as you or I can. When I babysat the boy he had to have Harry Potter read to him every single night, not that I minded I really like the book. He had to have his medicine in pudding, and needed sleeping medications because he was unable to sleep on his own. These children are extremely intelligent however. The kid I babysat could recite every song made by Iron Maiden, Nightwish, Sonata Arctica and Metallica by just stating the name of the song, and he was only 4 years old at the time. I also managed to teach him long division at this age.
This is a genetic disorder. When somebody gets Autism they have it for life, like Manic-Depression. It is not a last case scenario like Sociopaths and Psychopaths, and for most cases Autism can be dealt with steady medications, though they will still have the need to go into Mental Hospitals on occasion when their medications crash, for it happens often.

[/i] she was convicted. When I was younger, I used to have a fascination with the mentally insane so to speak. We always see characters that are considered mentally unstable, however the creators always seem to just throw random symptoms and conditions all into one new disorder. What I decided to do was take a look at some of the more used mental disorders and take a look at them as a whole
Bipolar: It's technical term is Manic-Depression. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain that is usually genetic, and one has it for life. The one thing you have to know about Manic-Depression is, THERE IS NO BALANCE!! Yes they do not go from being all hyper and spastic to wanting to kill themselves, but they are usually in one mood for a long time, and can often switch almost automatically into the next. I have a friend that I have seen being happy and singing her favorite song across the hallways to charging somebody with intent of beating her up, just for stealing the girl's backpack. This is the usual switch that would happen more than anything. And people, there is the other side to, there is the depressive side of Manic depression, though it is never role-played.
Also most people who are friends with those that are diagnosed with Manic-Depression, are often bullied. It is not that the person means it. Usually the victim of this disorder has no self control over the matter. It is a chemical imbalance in the brain and is uncontrollable. Because of this, most Bipolar people's friends are extremely patient. Mostly because of the: "Oh I'm not going to talk to this person ever again." And next week "Heeey girl wassup I was wondering if you would like to go grab a pizza or something." We get used to this sort of behavior. However every person has their go-to person. For my friend it was me, whenever she felt like she was on the verge of getting angry she would rant to me in what she considered a safe environment. But, bipolar people are people, each has their different ways with dealing with their minds. My step-father leaves everybody and destroys everything in his room when he is angry.
I have also seen plenty of people with Manic depression on many medications. The best treatment? POT! Weed is often a way of self medicating. PSYCHOLOGY MEDICATIONS RARELY IF EVER WORK!! Mostly because of the fact that people who are bipolar, when on Manic are too impatient to see a psych, and when they are depressed they get mistaken as Depression. This is a common trait. My friend did not get diagnosed with Manic-Depression until she spent six months on depression medications ALONE!! When she finally switched to Mania she had no patience for shrinks. She has been on self medication for several years now.
Money money, when Manic Depressive people are in the Mania stage they spend it. No ifs ands or buts. If you can find me somebody who is manic depressive in their mania state who doesn't like money, I'll walk around my Community College Campus doing the hokey pokey. My stepdad just bought an $800 pitbull the other day, my God-father is CONSTANTLY buying new computers, and my best friend's room is like a garage, there is so much stuff that she can't put anything in it organized.
Multiple Personality Disorder: It has a technical name but I cannot remember it off hand. Most people know it as MPD. This is a severe disorder that usually happens from physical abuse. This disorder is EXTREMELY rare and I have only heard of one person having the disorder.
One must understand, THIS DISORDER IS A DEFENSE MECHANISM. What does that mean, when a person receives physical abuse to the extreme. A movie you can watch is Sybil and you will understand this. Or, if you want to read more on physical abuse you can go to here to learn more about the victims. What happens with an MPD victim is that the brain believes that the victim has received so much trauma that they are unable to handle that emotional/physical trauma. So they create another person, or alter personality. There has been a record of a woman having 77 personalities. Sybil had 16.
This disorder is hardly known. Most MPD patients suffer from blackout spells, usually triggered by something. For Sybil white hair would often bring out Peggy, the five year old girl who received most of the abuse. Most do not remember what happens when their alter personality is out, until several years of severe psychotic care. Even then they never get over it. They may get through it, but like many abused people, you never get over it. I consider myself a normal human being, and some of the insults my friend and step-father, though I know they never mean it, still pains me. It's the same for them. One must realize, even though these people are mentally unstable, they still are people.
This disorder is also genetic. You have to have the necessary building in order for you to develop MPD. Usually the disorder is developed at a young age.
Depression: Somebody who is suffering from a depression CAN SMILE! It is also a chemical imbalance of the brain. This disorder is often treated very well, and has a lot of medications that help the mental illness. However in it's untreated form it is still severe. There is not much that can be said about this disorder. Those who are depressed do not seek attention though, those are two different categories.
MRS STYCHNINE TWITCH already said this too well, so I shall be quoting what she says.-- we can smile. we can laugh. it probably just doesn't happen as often as with most people.
-- if you're happy, there's going to be a crash. i'm not saying this is the same for everyone, but my depression is very up down: i can feel good, sometimes great, for a length of time, and then it all comes crashing down, like a plane dropping out of the sky kind of thing.
-- self harm is not something to be proud of. you tend to hide it as much as possible, and it someone sees, you lie. at least 90% of the time, i'd say.
This is very true! I could not have said it better myself.
Sociopath: The main thing one needs to know about sociopaths is that they are unable to function in today's society. They often have multiple arrests and think that society is wrong as a whole. A true Sociopath is very rare.
My Bellatrix Black is based off of a true sociopath. Though she is not fully developed we can look at her ideologies and relate them to the common sociopath.
-Her relationship with her husband is fairly straight forward. Get me what I want and you might be rewarded if I am in the mood.
