The stale scent of badger drifted up from the depths of the hole; Littleheart sat in front of the entrance and turned to address WindClan. "It smells off, I know, but there are no badgers in here," he told them. "They haven't lived here for generations, and we regularly check to make sure there are no signs of any new ones. It's just difficult to get the stink out. It's an unfortunate thing to have to live with, but it's a temporary engagement, so hopefully it will suit you all just fine. I'm going to bring you in. There are two main caves; one is very large, big enough for the entire Clan to shelter in. The other is smaller, but still large enough for a few cats." "I can use that for herb storage and a medicine den," Spottedpaw interjected. Littleheart nodded, and stood up, flicking his tail. "Follow me, then," he said, and turned into the mouth of the den. The scent of badger was stale, but suffocating. The little cat wrinkled his nose, trying to block it out, but there was no way; it was too overpowering. He ignored it the best he could and moved forward. For a born WindClan cat, it was extremely uncomfortable; the tunnel was built into a hill, and sloped upwards to keep from filling with rainwater. The tunnels were wide, for the most part, and very straightforward, but there were places where his whiskers just barely touched the edges- a tight squeeze for a large cat, he thought to himself, and RiverClan had plenty of those. Even when he emerged into the large cavern where the RiverClanners would sleep, he couldn't ease his tense muscles. There was no sky here. He felt trapped; RiverClan clogged the tunnel out, and a feeling of helplessness started to creep over him. But no- he had to force it back. He couldn't let the other cats smell fear. "This is the main cavern," he told them. "In back, a shorter and smaller tunnel leads to the little one that I was telling you about. Any kits, nursing queens, or elders can come back to WindClan camp and stay in our nursery or elder's den. You now have permission to hunt and travel on WindClan land. Our warriors will be checking on you throughout the day, naturally. I trust that these arrangements are acceptable?" [/scrolly]

The white tom wasn't even listening to Littleheart ramble on and on about badgers and how big the cave was; he was too busy sulking. His tail dragged along the ground like an albino snake, ears flattened against his skull. It was obvious Cloudfeather was upset, but he couldn't tell anyone why or they'd think he was a traitor. Honestly, he was sort of missing Pumpkinflower, and dreaded not chatting with her by the border for a moon, or even much longer. Yes, he had a huge crush on the friendly she-cat, but they were just friends, right? Hopefully time would pass by quickly if he occupied himself with hunting or practicing on not running into things. Taht would be great.
(Hah! First reply! Boo to the yah! ;D )

The leader followed the small tom closely, taking in his every word. 'These arangements and more that acceptable, thank you very much for this. Hopefully we won't have to stay here much longer. 'Queens, settle down quickly and, apprentices, catch something small to keep us going, Nightfur you can go with them, try get something forthe Windclan warriors also." she purred softly, 'We can hunt right?..' she wanted to be sure, this wasn't their land.

Bramblepelt and Tawnypelt frowned slightly as they looked at their temporary place. They were grateful for Windclan's hospitality, but the present situation wasn't worth smiling about. They had been forced to abandon their camp. It was hard to cheer up, and even the usually cheery brothers had a serious expression on their faces as they moved with the rest of the clan mates. Russetpaw, eyes wide in fear and awe at all the new surroundings and the desperate state of the Clan, was nervous about hunting in an unfamiliar territory, as well as the thought of catching prey she had never tasted before. She was unsure of her skills and ability to really catch enough for Windclan too, but, seeing the other apprentices follow Nightfur, she followed along with the,, her head and tail drooping.
